Emphasis on Quality

Our Food Safety Record

Sunny Creek Farm exceeds the FDA recommendations for food safety by implementing protocols from several reinforcing sources. These include procedures from the Food Safety Modernization Act (Subpart:M), Safe Quality Food, Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP), FDA Produce Safety Compliance Rule, USDA Organic, and the HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points) Program.

The HACCP Program refers to the program that was initially developed by NASA to insure the production of safe food for its astronauts. Many food industries have incorporated this program in their production facilities as a safety net to prevent any contamination or harm to their customers via food borne illness, foreign objects in foods, or chemical contamination of foods.
